J.J. Hickson: Better Game Monday
Update: After scoring only one point on Saturday, Hickson bounced back with 12 points and seven rebounds on Monday night.
Analysis: Hickson is still adjusting to his new role as the starting center. It will largely depend on certain matchups on whether he has a strong night fantasy wise. Playing against a bigger and slower team will increase Hickson chances of putting up solid numbers while Shaquille O'Neal is out.
Devean George: Erupts for Eight Points On Monday
Update: George came out of nowhere to score 18 points (four 3's) in Monday's loss to New Orleans.
Analysis: George's 18 points were more than he had scored in the Warriors' last six games combined. This just shows that anyone can blow up in Golden State (see Reggie Williams) but George will most likely fade back to obscurity for the rest of the season.
Anthony Morrow: Almost Perfect On Monday
Update: Morrow made eleven of his thirteen field goal attempts (6-for-6 from 3-point range) on Monday and scored a team-high 28 points in a loss to New Orleans.
Analysis: Morrow is averaging 20.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.8 threes in 36.0 minutes over his last five games. Ride him while he's hot but keep in mind that the imminent return of Monta Ellis (knee, back) could hurt his minutes and production.
Dorell Wright: (Knee) Practices Monday
Update: Wright (knee) practiced Monday and is expected to play Tuesday night against Charlotte, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Wright was held out of Miami's previous game because of the left knee. At this point, with Rafer Alston suspended indefinitely, we'll see Wright doing some ball handling and play shooting guard when Dwyane Wade is at the point when the Heat roll with a big lineup.
Jermaine O'Neal: (Hip) No Practice Monday
Update: O'Neal (hip) did not practice Monday and is questionable for Tuesday's game against Charlotte, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Analysis: O'Neal missed the second half of Miami's previous game because of the hip.
Trevor Ariza: Probable for Tuesday's Game
Update: Ariza was upgraded to probable for Tuesday's game, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis: It'll be interesting to see what Ariza's role is now that Kevin Martin has solidified the shooting guard position. We'd expect Ariza to see at least 25-30 minutes per game once he's 100 percent, but we'll have to see how coach Rick Adelman adjusts his rotation.
Kyle Lowry: Questionable for Tuesday
Update: Lowry (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's game, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis: He'll back up Aaron Brooks at the point when he returns.
