Kroenke Sports and CenturyLink offer the Leadership Challenge presented by CenturyLink as a leadership development program for high school varsity athletes. The program promotes and inspires community involvement and rewards community service and leadership.
Students in the Leadership Challenge presented by CenturyLink will compete for one of two (2) $3,500 college scholarships and six (6) $1,000 college scholarships. The scholarships will be awarded based on the students’ exemplary service, leadership and commitment to their communities as demonstrated through their Leadership Challenge presented by CenturyLink essay. In addition, each finalist is eligible for a $250 grant to their school or a non-profit organization of their choice.
Nominated students should be varsity student athletes with a commitment to their academic success, who are active volunteers in their school and/or community and demonstrate strong leadership ability. Nominated students will be asked to submit an essay highlighting their leadership skills and community involvement. A review committee will select 8 finalists (4 male and 4 female) who will each receive one of the scholarships.
